Fleurieu Aquatic Centre introduces Australia’s first virtual aqua fit classes

Fleurieu Aquatic Centre, is leading the way in aquatic innovation as the first centre in Australia to introduce virtual aqua fitness.

Developed in Finland and popular around Europe, Hydrohex combines high-quality underwater videos, motivating instructors and energising music to deliver immersive virtual workouts in the water. The program complements the Centre’s existing line-up of popular aqua fitness classes, giving members and guests even more flexibility and choice in how they participate in aqua classes

Hydrohex Business Development Manager, Samuli Vihervirta, said the team was thrilled to see the first Australian launch take place at the Fleurieu Aquatic Centre.

Fleurieu Aquatic Centre Health and Fitness Director, Tammy Gowland, said the addition of Hydrohex reflects the Centre’s ongoing commitment to offering engaging, accessible and varied fitness options.

“Our aqua fitness program has always been one of the most popular parts of the Centre, and Hydrohex perfectly complements these classes. It gives our members and visitors more flexibility to enjoy their aqua workouts while bringing something new and exciting to the pool.
