Group Fitness bookings are only accepted via the YMCA SA App. Bookings are not mandatory, but strongly recommended to avoid disappointment. Visit pass holders can book 2 hours in advance.

Group fitness classes have a waitlist of 5 spots you can join if the class is full. If a spot in the class opens, the 'first in line' on the waitlist is automatically promoted into the class. You will receive a text message (and in-app notification if turned on) if you are promoted to the class.
Group Fitness bookings are only accepted via the YMCA SA App. Bookings are not mandatory, but strongly recommended to avoid disappointment.
Members can book:
- classes 4 days in advance;
- maximum of 2 bookings per day;
- a total of 4 active bookings at once.
*Guests (visit pass holders) can book classes 2 hours in advance.
To ensure fair and equal access for all members, YMCA's have a missed lesson penalty system. Members who miss more than 3 group fitness classes within a 90 day period will be blocked from booking group fitness for a period of 7 days.

2. Filter classes. You can open filters screen by clicking the funnel icon. You can filter classes in different ways:
Search your classes. You can scroll the class list and use the search (the search box filters classes by class name and instructor). | ![]() |

Booking Error The most common reasons for receiving a booking error: - You have exceeded the booking rules (trying to book more than 4 days in advance, exceeding the max 4 classes booked at one time or more than 2 classes per day). Guests (Visit Pass Holders) can book up to 2 hours in advance. You do not have a booking product/privilege. Either your membership contract does not permit access to this particular class, or for Guests without membership, you do not have a valid booking product (e.g. no visit pass credit remaining). | ![]() |
You can cancel your booking by clicking on the "Cross" button on the list or class details. You can cancel a class up to 2 hours prior to the start of the class. Canceling within 2 hours of the class will result in a 'missed class'. | ![]() |
