Closure of the Fleurieu Aquatic Centre until further notice

As mandated by the Federal Government, the Fleurieu Aquatic Centre is temporarily closed as of 12:00pm (noon) Monday 23rd of March 2020. All scheduled classes and programs will run as usual prior to noon.

Please note:

  • There are no confirmed cases of the virus among any Fleurieu Aquatic Centre staff or members
  • All memberships, including for swimming lessons, will automatically be placed on suspension during the period of closure and you will not be charged

The health and safety of our staff and customers is our number one priority during this time. We understand how important this facility is to you as a customer and recognise this is a difficult time for everybody.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and follow the advice of the government and governing health authorities so that we can reopen the facility as soon as is practical.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have any cases of COVID-19 been confirmed at a YMCA centre?

No, there are no confirmed cases of the virus among customers, members or staff at any YMCA South Australia Managed Centre.

Why is the Centre closed?

The Federal Government implemented national restrictions on social gatherings which has resulted in the mandatory closure of all indoor sport facilities, recreation centres and gyms throughout Australia as of noon on 23/03/2020. Media statement.

What happens to my membership and swimming lessons?

All memberships, including for swimming lessons, will automatically be placed on suspension during the period of closure and you will not be charged. No action is required, please don't contact the centre, suspensions are applied automatically.

Can I cancel my membership?

Please note that all members, including swim lesson have been placed on automatic suspension and there will be no charges as of 23/03/2020. It is not feasible to cancel membership at this time given the centre is closed. We will provide plenty of notice prior to re-opening and resuming your membership/charges.

What happens to Visit Passes and Upfront (prepaid) Memberships?

The expiry of visit passes and upfront (prepaid) memberships will be extended by the length of closure. This will be applied automatically, there is no need to contact the centre. We are unable to process any refunds.

Can I get a refund from the last membership direct debit?

Any unused 'credit' from previous direct debits will be automatically applied upon reopening. For example, if your last direct debit was 19/03/2020, then as of 23/03/2020 you have 10 days of prepaid 'credit' which will be applied once we reopen.
